GOOD NEWS! Last week I went through some tests and found out that I'm CANCER FREE *insert cabbage patch dance here*. I had to be on the dreadful low-iodine diet for 2 1/2 weeks, which sucked even worse than the first time by the way. I went to Methodist hospital on Monday June 1st and had a shot, Tuesday and had a shot and a radioactive iodine pill and then on Wednesday I had a full body scan and some other scan on my neck to see if anything was wrong. The shots I had on Monday and Tuesday gave me a killer headache and made me tired so I basically didn't do much but lay around for 2 days. Mom went with me on Wednesday and after we left the hospital we went and ate. I picked Red Robin because it's one of my favorites and I was starving.
On Friday of last week mom and I took Karsen to get his 2 year old pictures taken. I know I know..I'm a photographer and I took my child to a portrait studio! Boo on me, but I had to. Karsen does NOT like to sit still for pictures and there aren't enough M&Ms in the world to make him happy enough to have mommy take his pictures. I wanted some pictures that looked exactly like what I had done last year so I bit the bullet and took him. He acted just how I expected him to act..like a 2 year old. He's suck a stink. He was sooo uncooperative. The 2 girls that were taking pictures and trying to get him to smile worked really hard. One girl kept hitting herself in the head with a remote and fake falling down to get Karsen to laugh. Mom and I were trying to get him to smile too, I even brought the trusted whoopie cushion with me. Hey he's 2 and he's a boy so fart noises are funny. I ended up having to whip out the "cookies" which are really M&Ms but the kid calls anything that is sugar or dessert a cookie. By the 3rd outfit change I started to lose my patience...I know..shocker. I finally just said "ok I'm done I don't even want pictures". They had put him in some cheesy looking leather chair that I didn't want his pictures in anyway, but I think they have some quota or some many pictures or poses they have to do. I bought some prints and got the CD so I can do whatever I want with them. Here are some of the good ones..
