Karsen's 1st Haircut

Sigh..I had to finally give in and get Karsen's hair cut. I didn't want to because I was afraid that his curls would be gone. Here is a before picture, it was out of control crazy! It was straight and long in the front and really curly in the back. The top part of the curls was a lot longer than the bottom part so he always had this puff sticking out that was tangled and matted. I always had to use detangler to get it combed out.

Mom and I took him to Cookie Cutters because I wanted the whole first cut experience. He did fine, he didn't like the cape she put on him though so that had to go. He enjoyed the yellow car he got to sit in and he played with the steering wheel a lot. He held fairly still and didn't cry. When she was done he wanted OUT though. He started fussing because he knew he was done and we weren't getting him out. The stylist was trying to take a picture for his first haircut certificate and he wasn't happy. I think the picture she took is hysterical. I also took pictures of course! After the haircut he went down the slide a few times...weee. We've ahd the Cookie Cutters experience, now either grandma or I will cut his hair. Good news..the curls are still there! They are tighter now that his hair is shorter. She said it's normal for the front to be straight and the back to be curly when the hair is naturally curly. It's cute now, but I hope he doesn't have curly hair when he gets older because he will hate it.

I love the certificate. Him screaming and looking pissed off...right above the website...Hair cuts are fun.

Too hilarious. Great scrapbook page. :)

I take G there too...and have always done so because they are QUICK (his first one was done at home by his aunt...the hair stylist) but they are expensive!

I need to learn to cut his hair...save me $18/haircut. Especially when it gets cut about every 6-8 weeks!
