I'm starting something new called Tasty Tuesday! Every Tuesday I hope to post one of my favorite recipes. Today's tasty recipe is....
BREAKFAST PIZZA
This recipe was given to me by my cousin Kelli. She made this breakfast pizza for Shaun and I the morning after Karsen was born. Shaun and I stayed at her and Matt's house the night Karsen was born because they live so close to the hospital. We were beat by the time we got there and we really appreciated their hospitality. This recipe is special to me and I'll always remember the first time I had it.
1 lb. sausage cooked and drained
1 can crescent rolls
1 cup of frozen loose pack hash browns, thawed ( I just take mine out and microwave them a bit)
1 cup of cheddar cheese
5 eggs beaten
1/4 cup milk
salt and pepper
2 table spoons (or more) of parmesan cheese. (The kind you sprinkle on spaghetti)
Separate crecent dough into 8 triangles, place triangles with elongated points toward center in a greased 12 in pizza pan. ( I prefer my Pampered Chef rectangle baking stone, the pizza comes out perfect!)Press bottom and sides to form a crust. Seal perforations. Spoon sausage over dough. Sprinkle with hash browns and cheese. Combine eggs, milk and salt and pepper. Pour over sausage mix.
Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes. Don't forget the parmesan cheese, it makes it so good! I have also added Hormel real bacon pieces to it and it was tasty.
