9 Years Later...

Today is our 9th anniversary. We were married June 12, 1999. I was 21 years old and Shaun was 20 years old. He wasn't even old enough to drink! We had to toast with Cherry 7up, which was ok with me since I don't like champagne. It doesn't seem like 9 years ago...until I look back at our wedding pictures. We were so young. My wedding day was so much fun. I don't remember being too nervous. I was more excited than anything. It was one big party that I had been planning for years. We ran into a few snags that day. Our unity candle didn't light during our ceremony because it was drownding in wax from being lit previously for our pictures. It also started to pour down rain and thunder during our ceremony. They (I'm not sure who "they" are) say that rain is a sign of good luck, I guess I'll go with that. However..we didn't get our outdoor pictures at the gazeebo because of this "lucky rain". The limo was late so we had to stall after the ceremony before we could walk out into our bubbles! There isn't much I would change about that day, just a few minor things. The one thing I regret is that my some of my closest friends weren't there to celebrate it with me because we had lost touch after high school. I hold those friends near and dear to my heart now and I will never let them get away from me again! All of our pictures were taken in color, but I took the liberty to photo edit some of them recently.
